On October 28-31, 2025, DUT SEM delegation visited the University at Buffalo (UB, the State University of New York), further deepening bilateral exchanges and cooperation in talent development and scientific research. The delegation included Wang Jinghua (Associate Secretary of the Party Committee and Associate Dean), Song Xiaobing (Associate Dean), Ding Yongjian (Associate Dean), and Xu Zhaoguang (Assistant Dean).

During the visit, a signing ceremony was held at the Jacobs Management Center (School of Management, UB), formalizing three key agreements regarding inter-university cooperation,joint PhD degrees, and joint MBA-MS training.

The delegation participated in multiple round-table discussions with UB School of Management’s faculty, doctoral students, and alumni, resulting in collaborative intentions with centers such as the Center for Supply Chain Analytics, Leadership and Global Impact, and Entrepreneurial Leadership.

In a historical interview session, the delegation met with esteemed professors from the National Center for Industrial Science and Technology Management Development's 1980s faculty—including John Wood, G. Lawrence Sanders, Isaac Ehrlich, and Nallan Suresh—sharing treasured memories of the Sino-U.S. MBA program and expressing expectations for SEM's future initiatives.

The delegation also attended UB Celebration of Academic Excellence, meeting with UB President Satish K. Tripatha, Provost A. Scott Weber, and corporate executives from UB’s alumni network, while gaining insights into UB’s latest advancements in management education, discipline construction and internationalization.
