Cheng Chun, Professor at the School of Economics and Management, Dalian University of Technology, and Ph.D. Supervisor. Her main research areas focus on the operation management and optimization of logistics systems, which specifically include facility location problems, capacity planning and scheduling issues for crowd-sourced delivery platforms, and path planning problems for drones/vehicles. The primary techniques she employs are combinatorial optimization, robust optimization, and algorithm development. She has published 4 papers in the UTD24 journals of management as the first/communication author, including Operations Research, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, and INFORMS Journal on Computing (2 papers). In addition, she has published multiple papers in top logistics journals such as Transportation Science and Transportation Research Part B (3 papers). She has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China General and Youth Projects, as well as the Natural Science Foundation of Liaoning Province. She serves as an Executive Director of the 3rd Committee of Behavioral Operations Research and Management of the Operations Research Society of China. She also acts as a reviewer for several international journals, such as OR, IJOC, TS, POM, TR-Part B, EJOR, and Omega.

Chonghui Guo is a professor in the School of Economics and Management at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He got his PhD degree in Management Science and Engineering from DUT in 2002. From 2002
to 2004, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Computer Science, Tsinghua University. His research interests cover big data analytics and business inteligence, complex systems modeling and optimization, and intelligent decision making theory and methods.

Hu Xiangpei has been engaged in teaching and research in operations research, knowledge engineering, AI, e - commerce and logistics management at Harbin Institute of Technology and Dalian University of Technology since his undergraduate graduation in 1983. In August 1997, he was promoted to professor by exception, and in April 2000, he became a doctoral supervisor.From April 2002 to January 2008, he held multiple deputy - level positions at Dalian University of Technology. In 2006, he was selected for the New Century "Tens, Hundreds, and Thousands" Talent Project, and in 2007, he won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.From January 2008 to January 2018, he was the executive vice dean of Dalian University of Technology's Graduate School. In 2011, he received the Special Government Allowance from the State Council. Since April 2013, he has led the Ministry of Education Innovation Team in information and logistics management of emerging e-commerce, and since January 2015, the National Innovation Group in the same field. In 2017, he was the Rotating Chair of the Deans' Council of Graduate Schools in China.

Kai LIU is a professor in the School of Economics and Management, Dalian University of Technology, China. He got Ph.D. degree in Transportation Planning and Management from Nagoya University in 2006. His areas of specialties include transportation planning and management, travel behavior modeling, GIS in Transportation, and Transportation Electrification. He is an associate editor (AE) of Transportation Research Part D, an associate editor of Asian Transport Research.

His researches have been applied to realize carbon neutral in transportation systems, including electric vehicles system and demand-responsive bus system. Xuehua Wang is the Associate Dean of the Graduate School and Director of the Office of Graduate Education at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He is currently the executive vice secretary-general of the China Society for Management Science and Engineering. His research interests cover the complexity of urban transportation systems, urban transportation system management and optimization, low-altitude transportation operation management, traffic big data, and urban traffic operation management system platform. He presided over some of China’s key projects on fundamental technology research and traffic management, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Distinguished Young Scholars, the “111” Project of the Ministry of Education, etc. He established an information-based management system for train operation and control of urban rail transit, which consists of subway line network planning, passenger flow forecasting, train diagram optimization, etc. He has also authored or coauthored over 200 journal articles published in top journals in transportation.

Dongdong He is an Assistant Professor in intelligent traffic management and technology application at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He received the Ph.D. degree from DUT in 2022. His research focuses on travel behavior modelling, electric vehicle and power grid interaction, and the facility location problem. His achievements have been published in top journals such as Transportation Science, Transportation Research Part E, Computers & Operations Research, Systems Engineering Theory & Practice, and the Journal of Systems Engineering etc. He was also granted as the highly valued position of Guest Editor of the journal Transportation Research Part E on the Special Issue related to Urban Air Mobility in March 2025.

In recent years, he has published 10 papers in journals such as TRB, TRE, TRD, Systems Engineering Theory & Practice, and Journal of Highway and Transportation Research and Development, and has obtained authorization for five patents. He participated in the 2016 Transportation Research Board international conference and presented his academic achievements. He has received awards such as the Science and Technology Progress Award from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the Natural Science Achievement Award of Liaoning Province. He is currently a director of the Intelligent Computing Branch of the Operations Research Society of China and a member of the Systems Engineering Society of China.
